US Lawmaker Demands Starbucks Close First Stores in Xinjiang

US Representative John Moolenaar, chairman of the House Select Committee on China, has called on Starbucks to close its first two stores in Xinjiang, calling the move a "morally bankrupt decision." Starbucks opened the stores this week in Urumqi, including one at the Grand Bazaar and one at the international airport. China rejected the criticism as "naked lies."
